Loved ones, the joyful goal of the faithful Christian is to preach the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole world (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16). The Gospel includes 3 facts to be believed, 3 commands to be obeyed, and 3 promises to be enjoyed.
The facts of the Gospel are the 1) death, 2) burial, and 3) resurrection of Jesus, the Son of God, for the remission of our sins (Luke 24:45-47; Acts 2:38). This spiritual blessing was given to the world when Christ (the seed of Mary) died for our sins (the remission of sin Matthew 26:28), was buried, and then arose from the grave on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). This eternal spiritual blessing is received through the precious BLOOD of Jesus (Revelation 1:5), by those believers who have repented of their sins and been baptized into Christ (Ephesians 1:3). One MUST believe these facts.
Obedience to the Gospel demands our 1) belief, 2) repentance, and 3) baptism (immersion in water) into Christ (Galatians 3:27) and into His death (Romans 6:3-4), where He shed His blood (John 19:31-34). One MUST obey these commands (Hebrew 5:9).
The promises of the Gospel include 1) Salvation in Christ (2 Timothy 2:10; Acts 4:10-12; John 14:6); i.e. - the forgiveness of sins (Luke 1:77; Acts 2:38; 22:16; Matthew 26:28), 2) The gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38; 5:32), which is 3) Eternal Life (Romans 6:23). One WILL enjoy and be comforted in these exceeding great and precious promises (2 Peter 1:3-4).
If you are teaching the above truths of the Gospel, we invite you to join as many of the below groups as you desire. All the groups, no matter how large or small, need sound Bible teaching. If you decide to join any of the groups, please be ready to defend anything you post with Bible Scripture. As you help ground the understanding of Christians and non-Christians who disagree with the truth, UNTO THEIR OWN DESTRUCTION (2 Peter 3:16), please keep these two admonitions in mind:
(1) 24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will (2 Timothy 2:24-26).
(2) 19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20 let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins (James 5:19-20).
